C5: Decrypting the EBOOT
now, keep your eyes on this confusion
Now we need to decrypt the EBOOT.BIN so we can patch it with the patch.yml we just created. First, get the license file (.rap) of the game (remember, NPUB is for America and NPEB is for Europe). I won't be providing links for it, but if you've made it this far, you probably know where to find it either way.
It probably is the best moment to advise you to keep a good backup of the vanilla, unmodded EBOOT.BIN, just in case anything goes wrong you can try again.
You will need the TrueAncestor SELF Resigner for this part. Download it and extract it wherever you feel like, but I'd recommend creating a folder for all the modding related stuff. Put the .rap file in the raps folder, and the EBOOT.BIN in the folder with the executable file, just like this.

Done? Cool, now open the resigner tool. You'll see this.

If you're using CFW, you don't need to change the Output Method or the Compress Data option. Simply press '1' and then Enter.
If you're using HEN, press O and Enter+Enter three times, so the Output Method changes to [3.XX STD]. Then press D, then Enter and Y and Enter to change the Compress Data option to [OFF]. After that press '1' and Enter.
The program will decrypt the EBOOT.BIN into a EBOOT.ELF, and it will be right next to the EBOOT.BIN. Take the EBOOT.ELF and move on to the next chapter.
