# C1: Download Time!

First, we'll be heading to the [GameBanana page for Persona 5](https://gamebanana.com/games/7545). Obviously, you're here to download [*Persona 5 EX*](https://gamebanana.com/wips/57221) and [*The Royal Project*](https://gamebanana.com/mods/396208), plus other dependencies, but you can feel free to check for any other mods you may want to use!

Keep in mind, there are certain mods that are **not** compatible with P5EX and/or TRP, [here is a list of mods that won't work](https://app.gitbook.com/o/wf0BcZulOwSZqoEYyIEz/s/jVfFxH4ELh8EuPzzgQ2k/).

Starting with **Persona 5 EX**, scroll to the bottom of the page and download these mods:

For **The Royal Project**, you'll want to download these:

Next, we'll be needing some dependencies, download the Aemulus version of the [P5R/P5D Font](https://gamebanana.com/mods/34388) and [Fix Softlock for Community Patches](https://gamebanana.com/mods/54472). Those two mods are required for both mods to work properly.&#x20;

If you're using the 4K mod, be sure to grab the 4K Addon for The Royal Project as well as the [4K version](https://gamebanana.com/mods/325331) of the P5R/P5D Font mod.

Finally, download the [Aemulus Package Manager](https://gamebanana.com/tools/6878) (if you haven't already).

Let's make a quick recap, at this point you should have:

* [ ] p5ex\_prx\_patch\_9a528.7z (the patches for P5EX)

If the numbers after \<prx\_patch\_*>* don't match with yours, it probably means the patches got updated, so don't worry about that.

* [ ] P5EX Mod (**Aemulus package**, P5EX)
* [ ] ExpandedBGM\_02.cpk (music used by P5EX and TRP's newly added events, either ADX or HCA)
* [ ] P5RBustups\_03.cpk (character portraits backported from P5R, needed for P5EX and the newly added TRP events)
* [ ] The Royal Project mod (**Aemulus package**, TRP)
* [ ] Events\_05.7z (Additional **important** files required for TRP to work)
* [ ] P5R/P5D Font (**Aemulus package**, the updated P5R font used by P5EX and TRP's newly added events)
* [ ] Fix Softlock for Community Patches (**Aemulus package**, dependency)
* [ ] Aemulus Package Manager (the mod manager)

**None of the mods or packages** in this list are *optional or skippable*. You must download **ALL** of the mods listed above.

At this point, my recommendation is that you create a **Loadout** folder, to keep track of files that don't need any more modifications. There are a couple of files that you can start to move there, starting with:

* Extract **Events\_05.7z** (that contains Events\_05.cpk) and **P5RBustups\_03.7z** (that contains P5RBustups\_03.cpk) into the Loadout folder. Move **ExpandedBGM\_02.cpk** into the folder as well.
* Extract **p5ex\_prx\_patch\_9a528.7z** into the Loadout folder.

If you want to, you could check the *config.yml* inside the **p5ex\_prx\_patch** folder, since it has some options that you can toggle. Just make sure to be careful; don't leave a typo as that could make the game crash or not open at all.
